Phwew!! A long two year course is finally over and I passed! Was meant to be one day a week but was more like full time so kinda wished I had just done the full time course in Edinburgh which would have only taken a year. Luckily the business has survived so a big THANK YOU to everyone who has put up with my stressy scatterbrained head over the past two years! Also to all the people who have helped me by being models or supporting me as a friend or as a customer, you have all been fabby. I am so grateful.
So, time to focus on my work and business and hopefully improving my service to include fashion and photographic make up so I can also over a complete makeover if you wish. I have always enjoyed showing people how to enhance their individual beauty so am delighted to have had the chance to learn and master make-up artistry and eyebrow tinting, shaping or application of false eyelashes. I have done photo shoots and am able to enhance photographs as they do in the magazines. Amazing what you can do with the right hair, make-up and lighting, everyone can look like a celebrity really with the right help! Crazy.
I will add photographs of my Make-up artistry very soon. I was asked to research fashion designers and create 8 looks based on their image or photographs of their work. 4 men and 4 women. The looks included me doing the hair, make-up, clothes/shoes, accessories and directing the shoot as well as take and edit the pictures at times. I took the models to my college in Livingston to use the photo studio.
For my Graded unit, the big finale, I was to incorporate my newly learned make-up skills and create two looks on one model based on a famous hairdresser I admired. I had an idea in my head so chose Jamie Stevens as some of his work incorporates my love of sharp angles and contrasting colours and cuts. I will add these photographs of my Graded unit too. I based the look on my love of the sun, nature, earth and histories of ancient Egyptians, medieval times and tales of gods and goddesses so you can see what you think.....
